Montgomery Co. Sheriff's Deputy Injured In Crash

A Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputy has been injured in a crash involving multiple vehicles. 

The incident happened around 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Riverside Drive and North Second Street.

K9 Deputy Eric Trout, 37, and his K9 Fuse were involved in the crash.

Trout suffered non-life threatening injuries. Fuse was taken to an animal hospital where he was examined and cleared by the vet.

Trout was taken to Tennova Healthcare with unknown injuries. Authorities said two other drivers were cleared by EMS at the scene. 

Details of the crash were not available. However, officials said three vehicles were involved.

Heavy traffic delays were reported in the area. Drivers were urged to seek an alternate route.
