NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — One woman was injured in a house fire in North Nashville Thursday afternoon.
The fire was reported around 1:30 p.m. on the 2000 block of Stokers Lane.
According to the Nashville Fire Department, a woman was in the home when the fire started. The fire crews on scene had to fight through the blaze to reach her. They got her out; however, she was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with critical injuries.
The woman's husband was not home at the time of the fire.
The houses on the left and right side of the house that caught fire suffered minor damage.
The cause is still not known.
