A quiet walk in a Nashville-area dog park suddenly turned violent after police say a suspect threatened people with a screwdriver.

The incident happened at a dog park on 11th Avenue North in the Gulch.

According to an affidavit from Metro Nashville Police, the victims were walking their pets when Jimmy Sneed came up to the fence, destroyed a gate, and began threatening them with a screwdriver.

One of the alleged victims told police Sneed shouted, “if you mess with my cat, I will [expletive] kill you.”

Police said he was arrested for public intoxication and unlawful possession of a weapon. He also reportedly had a pair of brass knuckles on him.
