Metro Nashville Police responded to a shooting in Madison.
According to police officials, it happened just before 7 p.m. Friday at Falcon View Apartments.
Police responded to the complex on the 200 block of East Palestine Avenue in Madison and taped off a portion of the complex parking lot while they investigated.
When officers arrived, they found a 19-year-old who told them he was approached by a man who demanded money.
The 19-year-old said the suspect shot him when he refused to give the man any money. The victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.
It was unclear if the two men knew each other.
A description of the suspect was not released.
