Detectives with the Metro Nashville Police Department have asked for the public's help in finding a person of interest in the murder of Deon Brown.

Brown was found stabbed to death Monday morning in the secure parking lot of the Western Express on Centennial Place.

On Tuesday, Brown’s white Pontiac G6 car was recovered in Hickory, North Carolina. William Gadsden, 26, is believed to have driven the vehicle there.

He had ties to Fayetteville, North Carolina. Metro officers were in North Carolina Wednesday and today following up on the case.

Detectives want to know how Gadsden came into possession of the Pontiac and what, if anything, he knows about Brown’s murder.

Anyone seeing Gadsden or knowing where is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463 or West Precinct Investigations at 615-862-7385.
