Broadway between 5th and 3rd Avenues was closed at 7 p.m. Thursday.  Both 3rd and 4th Avenues will continue to be open to traffic (depending on crowd size, this may change Saturday & Monday afternoon/evening).

Open to northbound traffic will be 5th Avenue North between Commerce Street and Broadway, but 5th Avenue South between Broadway and Demonbreun Street will be closed in both directions.

More than 100 police officers will be in the area of Broadway and Bridgestone Arena beginning in the late afternoon hours of Saturday and Monday through the conclusion of the games and crowd egress.

Undercover officers will be on hand as well specifically looking for those selling counterfeit tickets/counterfeit NHL merchandise.

The celebration area on Broadway at 5th Avenue will open Saturday at 3:30 p.m. The Broadway Smash is scheduled for 4 p.m. Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals begins shortly after 7 p.m.

Also, Mayor Megan Barry announced on Friday that she has proclaimed Monday, June 5 to be "Preds Pride Day."

The mayor said she will be hosting a special event to celebrate the day at 10:30 a.m. with Preds center Ryan Johansen at the corner of 5th Avenue and Broadway.

Reports stated the event would unveil the latest efforts by the city to go all in for the Predators.

"Our passionate fans in the community, and the dedication they show to our team in Smashville and on the road, are the real reason we are in this position,” Nashville Predators President and CEO Sean Henry said. “It is an honor to be able to pursue the ultimate One Goal to reach the Stanley Cup alongside this community, and we look forward to celebrating Preds Pride Day with Mayor Megan Barry and all of Smashville!”

“We want to see Nashvillians of all ages wearing gold to celebrate this momentous time in our city’s history as the Predators skate towards the Stanley Cup,” said Mayor Megan Barry. “Let’s show Pittsburgh and the rest of the world that we are all Smashvillians on Preds Pride Day.”
