A sixth-grader at Mt. Juliet Middle School with leukemia is headed to Paris, thanks to the generosity of her classmates.
The school held an assembly on Friday to surprise 12-year-old Sarah Meers with the news.
The school partnered with the Make-a-Wish Foundation to raise money for her.
In just two weeks, the school raised more than $5,500 to send Sarah and her family to Paris along with help from Make-a-Wish.
Sarah one day hopes to be a fashion designer, which fueled her love of Paris.
