As the case against Tad Cummins continues to develop, the man credited with bringing to justice the former Maury County teacher accused of kidnapping his former student is set to take a trip to the mid-state.

It comes as folks Columbia prepare to hand over reward money for the safe return of the student Cummins is accused of kidnapping.

Griffin Barry says he's ready to fly to Nashville to meet Chandler Anderson -- a former co-worker of Tad Cummins, and possibly meet with the family of the kidnapped girl.

They're planning for the visit on Friday.

"He wanted to fly me back out there and he had $10,000 so i guess I'll go do that real quick," Barry said.

Griffin says the TBI also wants to talk to him about getting him the $1,000 reward that agency was offering.
