DICKSON, Tenn. (WTVF) — A body was recovered following a house fire in Dickson County.
The incident was reported Wednesday night at a residence on Highway 70 West. A passerby noticed the fire at 8:30 p.m. and called 911.
Crews arrived and were able to quickly extinguish the blaze.
A woman’s body was found near the front door. Her name was not released, pending positive identification.
Investigators said an autopsy will be performed.
The cause of the fire was not yet known.
