Both players and fans weighed in on the Titans and Seahawks on the two teams decision to not come out of the locker room for the national anthem.

Titans head coach Mike Mularkey said the decision was made in agreement with the Seahawks before the game. Neither team appeared on the field for the anthem.

The move is in response to President Donald Trump's statement on NFL players who kneel during the national anthem in protest of police brutality and discrimination.

"Wouldn't you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag to say "Get that son of a b**** off the field right now, out, he's fired. He's fired," the president said.

Players across the league kneeled in protest and the Pittsburgh Steelers, except for one player, also didn't take the field for the anthem.

"We don't appreciate the statement that came out of Washington," said Mularkey. "It's more about that. I just want to make it clear. Watch every Sunday as they line up for the National anthem. Don't tell me this team isn't proud of our country. Just watch them."

Fans were vocal on social media, but also still with opinions when we talked with them outside the stadium.

"I like the fact that they stuck together as a team. Because then it eliminates players being singled out," said Joel Jung outside Nissan Stadium. Jung was accompanied by his father, Steve Jung, who had an different opinion.

"I feel like the whole team is protesting by not being represented for the flag. I don't like it in the sense that the flag should be honored and our service men should be honored," said Steve.

Players of the likes of DeMarco Murray and Delanie Walker also shared their opinion on the protest.

"We respect our coaches and our ownership to death They have our backs, we want to do what's right as a whole team and organization. We want to make sure it doesn't get [misrepresented]. We respect our military and everything like that. We couldn't do what we love if we didn't have our guys over there handling our business and supporting us," said Titans Center Ben Jones.
