Veteran Amberleigh Peach from Clarksville was honored for her service by NewsChannel 5 and Operation Finally Home's Salute Our Veterans program.
Peach served two tours in Afghanistan during the war, but her service hasn't stopped now that she's home.
Peach was a combat medic in Afghanistan, and survived those two tours to come back to her family.
Once back home, she became a respiratory therapist in Clarksville. Yet, she was fighting for her life after a motorcycle crash in July.
She pushed through the pain and rehabilitation and learned how to walk again.
Her best friend nominated her for the special veterans salute. She was awarded a $500 gift card.
