Shannon is the weekend anchor at NewsChannel 5. You can catch her behind the anchor desk weekend evenings, and reporting during the week. Shannon comes to us from Shreveport, LA where she was an evening anchor for KSLA.
She's an award winning journalist who has also worked in Savannah, GA, Charlotte, NC and Erie, PA. She's loved every city she's worked in, but says it's true what they say about Nashville... it really does have some of the nicest people.
Shannon got her bachelors degree from The Ohio State University and a masters degree from Kent State University.
Her roots are in Akron, Ohio but she's happy to call Nashville home. She is the proud mother of a son, Devin, and her Yorkshire Terrier Mr. Monty Carlo. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta and the National Association of Black Journalists.
