Is there anything better than sitting down with a glass of wine and a snack at the end of a long day? Thanks to a genius new product, this particular adult indulgence will be just a little bit easier to enjoy.
It’s called the House Wine Cheez-It Box, and it sounds like a match made in snacking heaven.
The product includes a box of Original Red Blend House Wine paired with Original Cheez-Its in one convenient package. The masterful pairing on Original House Wine’s website was priced at $25, though it looks like the snack box is currently sold out.
“No corkscrew? No knife? No fridge? No expensive hunk of wood referred to by fancy people as a ‘charcuterie board’?” reads the product description.
“No problem. This pack has everything you really need for your wine and cheese spread: wine and Cheez-It.”
The portable party-in-a-box is perfect for taking to the beach, on a picnic or to a BBQ. Nothing says sophisticated fun like wine and cheese, so your friends will be delighted when you show up with one of these! (Or you could just hang out in your kitchen and snack alone. We won’t judge!)
“We are thrilled to partner with House Wine to combine their expertise and America’s favorite 100% real cheese snack into one portable box,” Jeff Delonis, senior marketing director for Kellogg’s U.S. Snacks division, said in a press release.
“Many of our fans were already exploring pairing different wines with Cheez-It. Just like wine and cheese, you can pair the real cheese inside each Cheez-It flavor with the perfect wine complement and find a pair to enjoy all summer long.”
According to the site, the house wine that comes in the box consists of 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. It also lists its alcohol content as 13%.
For when you’re feeling creative, the brands recommend a number of other great pairings of House Wines with Cheez-It flavors, such as Original & Red Blend, White Cheddar & Rosé and Extra Toasty & Sauvignon Blanc. House Wine’s winemaker Hal Landvoigt hand-selected the pairing recommendations.
Instagrammer @junkbanter posted about the collaboration, calling the new box a “wonderful creation” and a “starter kit for a guaranteed good time.”
With the wine and snacks available in one container, it also makes it super easy to pack for a picnic! What better way to spend a beautiful summer day than enjoying a delicious snack and a refreshing glass of wine on a blanket outdoors?
Yum! Just remember to keep this particular snack pack away from the kids!
