The show was loaded with star power, and they rehearsed all weekend long.
Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley were the hosts of the evening.
The show was live from the Las Vegas MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Tim McGraw was scheduled to be just one of many performing.
“The song’s ‘Humble and Kind,’ and it’s a song that I’ve loved for a while,” McGraw said. ”Lori McKenna wrote it, who’s one of my favorite songwriters in the world, and probably a year and a half ago, she sent me through email just her and an acoustic guitar playing the song and I fell in love with it instantly. It was such a great message. I had one daughter who was graduating at the time. I have a daughter graduating now, and another daughter going into high school. When you look at the world, and how everything’s going on, I think it’s just the message that needed to be heard. Took me a while to get my head around how I wanted to make the record, but I was really happy with how it turned out. I’m excited to do it tonight in the show. It’s going to be a good moment I think. I'm pretty excited about it.”
