A 20-year-old was arrested for attempted murder after an overnight traffic stop.

Reports stated officials with the Juvenile Crime Task Force stopped a Toyota Scion for an inoperable light late Thursday night at 16th Avenue North and Heiman Street.

That stop led authorities to the discovery of an attempted murder suspect.

Officials said 20-year-old Habey Hussein was wanted for allegedly shooting 20-year-old Justus Vaughn in the head. The shooting happened June 5 near the intersection of 25th Avenue North & Dowlan Street in the Cumberland View public housing development.

Hussein and his brother, identified as 17-year-old Osman Hussein, were believed to have been involved in a shootout with Vaughn. Vaughn had critical injuries from the shooting.

Authorities said Habey Hussein was being held in lieu of a $150,000 bond.

Police were attempting to find Osman. He has been charged in a Juvenile Court arrest order with attempted murder.
