NASHVILLE, Tenn. - An argument in East Nashville took a violent turn and sent one man to the hospital.
The incident started on Riverside Drive when one man went into a home around 10 p.m. Thursday and got into an argument with another man.
One man pulled a gun and shot the other, according to police, and the victim ran out of the house toward a nearby bar asking for help.
Someone there called police, and the victim was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he was listed in stable condition.
The name of the victim was not released.
Authorities said the shooter was cooperating with officers. He was taken into custody, but no charges had been filed.
According to police, there was an order of protection against the male victim meaning he should not have been at the house where the fight took place.
No further details were released, and the investigation was ongoing.
