One person was injured when a suspect reportedly fired into a crowd gathered in front of a hookah bar.
The shooting happened just after 11:30 p.m. Friday in the 6300 block of Charlotte Pike.
Police said as they were headed to the scene, they were informed the victim had been taken to the hospital by a private vehicle. That victim was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
According to witnesses, a man was shooting from across the street into the crowd.
Officers confirmed they found multiple shell casings in that area. The business was also damaged.
The investigation remained ongoing.
