Detectives with the Franklin Police Department have asked for the public's help in their search for information in a jewelry heist.
Officials said hundreds of thousands of dollars of jewelry was stolen from Crown Jewelry & Gifts on Murfreesboro Road Thursday night sometime after 11 p.m.
The thieves were believed to have cut through the roof of the store to get in. Once inside, the burglars avoided security measures and were said to have spent several hours using a circular saw to cut through drywall and into the vault.
Anyone with information on the crime was asked to call the Franklin Police Department or Williamson County Crime Stoppers at 615-794-4000. A $1,000 reward was offered for information in the case.
