Officers with the Metro Nashville Police Department have responded to a shooting in which a teen was injured.
It happened around 7:30 p.m. at 16th Avenue North and Wheless Street in North Nashville.
Police said a 16-year-old was shot in the chest. His condition was unknown, but officers said he was shot, then collapsed in front of an abandoned house after running away.
The teen was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The details as to what led up to the shooting, or if there were any suspects in the incident were unclear.
