HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. - A Hopkinsville teenager killed in an accident has been laid to rest.
On August 13, 17-year-old Jay’Von Quarles was helping to move a heavy piece of football equipment when it fell and hit him on the head.
Authorities said the incident happened at a practice field at the middle school.
His friends and family gathered for his funeral Saturday.
Friends of Jay’Von started a gofundme account to help pay for the funeral. They met their $5,000 goal in less than eight days.
