A 19-year-old has been charged with vehicular homicide in a crash that killed a 78-year-old.
Authorities said 19-year-old Reybaz Abdullah was charged on Tuesday for the fatal two-car crash that happened on September 22 on Harding Place near Danby Drive.
In that wreck, 78-year-old Victor Coode lost his life.
Officials said Coode was driving east on Harding Place when he started to make a left turn into his driveway and was hit by a speeding Audi A6 headed westbound.
Two passengers in Coode’s vehicle, including a 6-year-old, were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Abdullah, the driver of the Audi, and his passenger were also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Reports stated there was no sign that alcohol or drugs were involved in the crash.
Abdullah was also charged with one count of aggravated assault and two counts of reckless endangerment. He was being held in lieu of a $62,000 bond.
