Two men from Glendale, Arizona have been charged in connection with a multi-agency drug operation in Middle Tennessee.
During the month-long investigation, the Tennessee Bureau Investigation said they learned that a heroin source in Phoenix had arranged to sell two kilograms of heroin to an individual in Rutherford County.
Undercover agents arrived at a location in Murfreesboro to make the purchase.
On Thursday, authorities said a local source – identified as 33-year-old Perez Pedro Arce – arrived at that location with two kilos of heroin. Another person, 34-year-old Ahlan Wasohlan Aguirre Gonzalez, was in the car with him.
According to the TBI, both men were arrested and charged with one count of manufacturing, selling and delivering heroin.
They were booked into the Rutherford County Jail. Their bond was set at $200,000.
