2 Arrested, 1 At Large In Columbia Home Invasion

COLUMBIA, Tenn. – Two suspects have been arrested, while another remains at large in connection with a home invasion in Maury County.

Officers responded to the scene of a possible home invasion robbery around 2:40 a.m. Sunday in the 400 block of East 17th Street in Columbia. 

On scene, officials found the victim, identified as 27-year-old Javontay Garrett, inside the trunk of a vehicle. He reportedly suffered a gunshot wound to the head.

Garrett was taken to Vanderbilt Hospital and listed in critical but stable condition.

Authorities said they arrested 24-year-old Michael Keyon Martin and 28-year-old Kei’Choura Cathey.

Martin was charged with especially aggravated robbery and attempted felony murder in connection with the shooting.

Police said Cathey was charged with especially aggravated robbery and conspiracy to commit felony murder.

An arrest warrant was obtained for 30-year-old Joey Lasean Scribner, who’s wanted on charges of attempted felony murder and especially aggravated robbery.

Police were actively searching for Scribner and interviewing witnesses. No further details were available.
