MONTEREY, Tenn. - A couple was arrested in Putnam County on charges of the sale and delivery of drugs.
Officials said they arrested Donny Ray Jones and Ashley Jones on Monday.
Officials with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and the Monterey Police Department went to the couple’s home and served a criminal court indictment on the couple for the sale and delivery of a schedule III drug.
Authorities said during the arrest, investigators found marijuana and a prescription bottle containing methamphetamine. The meth was packaged for resale.
The two had been indicted earlier in November before a Putnam County Grand Jury by the Putnam County Narcotics Division.
Ashley Jones' bond was set at $10,000.
Donny Ray Jones was charged with the sale, delivery, and manufacture of a schedule II and schedule VI drug along with his initial criminal indictment. He was being held on a $30,000 bond.
