HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Authorities said two people have been arrested on multiple drug charges after a home investigation in Hopkinsville.

The Kentucky New Era reported 26-year-old Trevis Hightower and 23-year-old Rebecca Schultz were arrested early Friday morning after police found 12 grams of powder cocaine, a handgun, scales, and other paraphernalia.

Both were charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Hightower was also charged with tampering with physical evidence and receiving stolen property.

It was unclear if either Hightower or Schultz had a lawyer.
