2 Charged With Animal Cruelty In Murfreesboro

Posted

Two people have been charged with animal cruelty after dozens of cats were found at a Walmart in Murfreesboro.

Officials said 100 cats were found inside a camper in the parking lot.

The conditions inside the camper were reportedly so bad that firefighters used oxygen tanks to breathe while they rescued the cats.

Damian Cecchini and Kathleen Shanahan were charged in the case.

The group PAWS is taking care of the cats and hope to have some up for adoption soon.
