Second Harvest Food Bank officials have asked for the public’s help in restocking their shelves.
Last week’s snow storm lowered their reserves.
Volunteers worked closely with the Office of Emergency Management and Metro Schools to deliver more than 5,000 emergency food boxes to children and their while school was not in session.
Even though the charity was glad to help, officials said they were left with very little for future relief.
