Officers arrested three men and seized drugs believed to be part of a large scale drug ring in Nashville.
Metro Nashville Police officers arrested Erwin Rayo, 31, and Blas Garcia, 28, of McMurray Drive, when they were trying to sell cocaine in the South Nashville.
Garcia was allegedly driving a vehicle with Rayo in the front passenger seat. Garcia’s 5-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son were both seated in the back during the attempted drug transaction.
During further investigations at Rayo's Nolensville Pike apartment, they arrested 31-year-old Jesus Calderon after searching the apartment.
Inside, they found cocaine, drug paraphernalia and a handgun recently stolen from a LaVergne gun store. The gun was found in a hamper underclothes.
Calderon was charged with theft, felon in possession of a weapon, and felony drug possession. At the time of his arrest, he was free on bond from a January arrest for felony drug possession. He has again been jailed in lieu of $100,000 bond.
Rayo was charged with two counts of cocaine possession with intent to distribute. He was being held in lieu of $300,000 bond.
Garcia was charged with cocaine possession with intent to distribute and two counts of child neglect, and he was being held in lieu of $270,000 bond.
