NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Three weather-related deaths have been confirmed in Tennessee as a State of Emergency remains in effect for several counties.

The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency said 14 counties have declared local states of emergency after flooding over the weekend.

TEMA also confirmed three weather-related deaths, as of Tuesday morning.

The agency has decided to keep the state of emergency in place until much of the water subsides – that could be a few more days.

In Cheatham County, they anticipate about 30 to 40 homes have been damaged. Emergency crews there weren't able to do much damage assessment on Monday because the water receded much slower than expected.

If you have damage to your house or business, you can call the Cheatham County Emergency Management Agency at (615) 792-3443.
