A Nashville resident left her home to go shopping and returned to find it on fire.
The fire broke out at a home on the 1300 block of Stratford Avenue.
Fire officials said the home sustained damage but was not destroyed. The woman's three cats and dog are missing. It wasn't clear if they were lost in the fire or were able to escape.
A firefighter fell through a floor into the basement but was said to be okay. No one was seriously hurt.
