NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tuesday night Music City honored local filmmakers who tackled a major challenge. They all wrote, shot, and edited an entire film in just 48 hours.
Forty-five teams completed Nashville's 48 Hour Film Project. Tuesday the best of the best received awards for their hard work.
Award categories ranged from Best Film and Best Costume, to Best Unibrow and Best Zombies.
Officials say recognizing the groups that participate is an important part of developing Nashville's film scene.
"I feel like this is where we have to nurture and grow this, cause students come out of college and then they go to New York or L.A. Why? We can make great films right here in Nashville,” said Deborah Gordon who works with the program.
Aside from the time restraints, crews had to draw the film's genre from a hat and include a specific character, prop, and dialogue line to be considered.
