A 5-year-old boy was flown to the hospital after being injured in an incident with a lawn mower in Wilson County.
Officials with the Wilson County Emergency Management Agency said the child was injured at a home on the 1000 block of Overhills Drive in the Green Hill area of Old Hickory around 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Officials said the boy had injuries to his leg or foot. Details of exactly what happened were unclear.
The boy was driven about two miles away to Lebanon Road so the LifeFlight medical helicopter could land in a clear area. He was transported to Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
Lebanon Road was closed for about 20 minutes to allow the helicopter to land.
