57th MNPD Christmas Basket Program Helps Hundreds

The Metro Nashville Police Department held its Christmas Basket program, helping hundreds of families.

The was the 57th year for the program and they gave out toys and food to more than 175 families.

More than 600 kids were involved, and it was all thanks to the help of more than 500 volunteers.

On the morning of Christmas Eve, volunteers loaded up the gifts and delivered them to the families.

Those involved said it’s one of their favorite ways to help during the holiday season.
