More than 1,000 parking spaces have been added to downtown Nashville, and city officials celebrated the addition at a ribbon cutting ceremony.
The Fifth Avenue of the Arts Parking Garage was a much needed space for drivers in the downtown area.
Mayor Megan Barry and other city officials opened the garage Thursday.
The complex replaced a surface lot at the corner of Fifth Avenue North and Church Street.
