The busiest week in Nashville has officially gotten underway as the CMA Music Festival begins and the Nashville Predators continue their quest for the Stanley Cup.
The CMA Music Festival began at 10 a.m. at the Chevrolet Riverfront Stage. City officials estimate 80,000 people to pack nearly a dozen stages through downtown each day through Sunday.
The 2017 CMA Music Festival features 11 stages where more than 350 artists and more than 1,100 musicians will perform.
City officials said 100 hours of music will be performed to benefit music education.
The music kicks off in the morning and wraps up each night with a star studded show at Nissan Stadium.

Downtown is also expected to be packed with hockey fans as the Predators face the Penguins in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final in Pittsburgh.
Watch parties have been set up in several locations throughout the city. Nearly 50,000 people have come out to watch the games so far.
