The 15th anniversary of the 911 terror attacks has been remembered in Nashville with the unveiling of a new memorial.
The Marine Band San Diego provided music for the "Star Spangled Banner" at Friday's event.
The steel monument is placed at the Nashville Fire Department Training Academy. It's made of part of a steel beam that was inside the World Trade Center.
Mayor Megan Barry shared her thoughts with the crowd Friday.
Leaders expressed that this is not a fire department monument. It's everyone's monument.
