Actor turned political activist, Shia Labeouf, said Nazis tore down an anti-Trump flag he planted in East Tennessee as part of an art installation part of hewillnotdivide.us.
LaBeouf and two other self-described artists, erected an anti-Donald Trump flag in Greeneville. It had flown since March until it was recently stolen.
On Tuesday, LaBeouf publicly identified a Kingston couple as the pair behind the heist, calling the woman a Nazi.
He released the following statement in part on his social media pages in response:
"...Disturbingly, the authorities in Tennessee have so far failed to show the will to bring the perpetrators of this hate crime to justice despite boasts online about their actions... their anti-Semitic motivation, and the fact that they lied to police..."
