NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Airbnb issued a warning Friday to guests thinking of throwing a house party in Nashville over the Halloween weekend.
In an effort to further crack down on parties amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Airbnb also recently announced it’s prohibiting one-night reservations this weekend at its listings throughout the U.S. and Canada.
The company said it may take legal action against guests who violate the rules.
“The great majority of guests are respectful of our hosts’ homes and neighbors, and we understand that this initiative will disrupt many one-night reservations that might not have led to parties. This action is designed to help protect our hosts and the communities they live in,” the company said Friday.
In August, Airbnb announced a ban on all parties and events at listings on its website.
