MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Officials at Middle Tennessee State University gave students the all clear after shots were reportedly fired near the campus overnight.
Around midnight Thursday, an alert was sent to students saying shots had been reported near the Murphy Center.
Students were told to leave the area immediately and seen shelter in a secure place.
About an hour later, the university gave the all clear.
Campus police have not released any information.
Students were asked to report any suspicious activity to MTSU Police at 615-898-2424.
