An Antioch family's home was vandalized when feces was smeared on their front door and eggs were thrown on their garage.
When the Bell family heard their video doorbell go off last Thursday, they weren't sure what was at their front door.
Yet, soon they learned that someone ran up to their house, smeared what they believe to be human feces on their front door, and threw eggs at their garage.
"All these streaks are eggs? Yeah," said Aleece Bell.
Five days later, the remnants of the vandalism remained, even after numerous attempts to clean it up.
"You can still see it on the cement down there, and the shells," said Bell.
She said she didn't know whether her house was targeted or if it was random, but she did know that no other houses in her Antioch community were hit, and she believes this was no prank.
"It wasn't a joke, it wasn't funny, it wasn't something that was taken lightly at all," said Bell.
Aleece hoped that her video doorbell, which was activated by the motion when the vandal ran up, will provide enough of a look at the person so that someone will recognize the face and report it to police.
"If you definitely know the person in the video or the accomplice who was with them throwing the eggs, in the video you can see the two people run off, please just let us know who it is so they can pay for what they've done," she said.
The damage could cost more than $1,000 to fix or replace, but more than anything, Aleece hoped that these people will be caught so that a crime like this isn't replicated on another house.
