Austin Peay University officials announced that they will be changing the name of their historic stadium.
Through a partnership with Fortera Credit Union, APSU's field will soon be known as "Fortera Stadium."
Crews have begun on the signage. With the new name comes a 25 year, $2.5 million agreement with the Credit Union.
The change was announced nearly two years after a sinkhole swallowed up the northern end zone.
It happened back in May of 2014, when the stadium was undergoing a $19 million renovation.
A renaming celebration was scheduled for Saturday, April 23.
The free day of fun will begin with a noon baseball game and end with a fireworks display around 7:30 p.m.
