GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. – A suspect has been accused of firing shots near a motel parking lot in Goodlettsville after he and another man allegedly got into a fight over a woman.

The incident happened September 2 at a motel near Wade Circle and Rivergate Parkway.

Witnesses told Metro police officers that two men began arguing about a woman. At some point, one of the men walked away, when the other pulled a gun and fired at least three shots in his direction.

The suspect missed his target, but one round did enter a nearby hotel room, nearly hitting a person inside.

No one was hurt in the shooting.

Police said the suspect fled the scene after the incident. Based on a description from witnesses, police were able to identify him as Brandon Edmonson.

He was picked up a short time later.

Edmonson was later identified in a photo line-up and booked on reckless endangerment charges.
