Police in Mt. Juliet said they're looking for a suspect believed to be a teenager after a woman was robbed of her purse at gunpoint.
The incident happened Sunday around 2 p.m. at a Publix parking lot on South Mt. Juliet Road.
Officials with Mt. Juliet Police said a teen pointed a revolver at the woman and took her purse when she got out of her vehicle.
From there, he got into the passenger side of a 2008-2016 year model maroon Chrysler Town and Country minivan.
Police said the same suspect may have been involved in an attempted armed robbery in a neighborhood outside of city limits. During that incident, he was armed with a shotgun.
That suspect was described as a male, believed to be a teenager, with curly black hair and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
Detectives believe there could possibly be two to three teenagers or young adults involved in area robberies.
Anyone with information was asked to call Mt. Juliet Police at (615) 754-2550 or (615) 754-TIPS (8477).
