NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Ascension Saint Thomas has announced they will be the exclusive medical provider for the 3-day NFL Draft in Nashville this week.
They will handle all attendees' medical needs throughout a jam-packed weekend of musical performances, meet-and-greets, and more.
The team at Ascension Saint Thomas has also compiled some helpful tips to assist those who are attending the draft or running the in the Rock n- Roll Marathon.
These tip start with the importance of protecting your skin. Rain is predicted on Thursday, however, Friday and Saturday are expected to be dry and partly sunny. Those attending the festivities should be sure to wear sunscreen as the cloud cover will not prevent them from harmful UV rays
Attendees should also adamantly stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water before, during, and after outdoor activities. The CDC recommends an intake of 8 ounces of water (1 cup) every 20 minutes for anyone active in a hot environment.
With so many people in the city, germs will be running rampant. Be sure to sanitize often. Event attendees should consider carrying along hand sanitizer wipes or gel to use before eating.
First-aid stations will be present at the event for those who need them. Ascension Saint Thomas EMS team members will be manning on-site first-aid stations. They are encouraging draft-goers not to hesitate asking for professional assistance in case of an emergency.
