BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Officials said a ride tipped over at Beech Bend Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky injuring several children.
Emergency personnel responded to the park after a children's swing ride tipped over.
According to hospital officials, at least 12 people were injured when the incident happened around 6:15 p.m. Saturday, but none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening. Authorities said all were taken to the hospital, some by private vehicle.
Officials could not confirm the ages of those injured but said some were children.
The ride has been set to be inspected to determine what malfunctioned, but officials said uneven weight distribution could have been a factor.
The manager of the park said the rest of the park was scheduled to remain open for regular business hours. No further details were immediately available.
