Authorities in Tennessee said a murder suspect shot and killed himself after law enforcement officers found him in a parking lot.
Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Susan Niland identified the deceased man from the incident in Lawrence County on Friday night as 27-year-old Desmond Allen.
Niland said the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office and Lawrenceburg Police Department found the man in the parking lot of a Lawrenceburg business on Highway 43. She said he pulled out a gun, shot himself, and died immediately.
Allen was wanted in a shooting that took place in Leoma. Reports stated Allen was allegedly standing on a porch when he shot and killed a man through a window, while the man was in his bedroom. The shooting happened on Purcell Lane off of Highway 43.
Niland said the TBI's investigation into the shooting has been active and ongoing.
