NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Nashville Zoo found a creative way to beat the heat with an ICEE Ice day.

The people and animals got to cool-off with some frozen treats Saturday, and there was lots of fun for the kids.

Animals got to enjoy some frozen fruit while zoo-goers enjoyed popsicles and waterslides.

The zoo also unveiled its new 2-week-old giraffe, and its asking for the public's help in deciding on a name.

“You can bring your old jeans and you can pick one of three names and that runs through August 31,” said Kindell Williams, of the Nashville Zoo. “And the one with the most jeans in it, which they will then turn into recycled insulation, that will be the new name.”

The choices are "Mikali," which is Swahili for "bright," "Mahali," which means "spot," and "Enzi," which means "powerful."
