Kroger's top five baggers from across the city took part in the annual Best Bagger contest.

The bag-off challenge took place Tuesday at the Nashville Zoo. It was all for a trip to represent Kroger at the Tennessee Grocers Convention in June.

As Kroger representative Melissa Eads said, the competition isn't just about speed.

"Well they're judged in a lot of different areas. I think a lot of times people think it's all about speed and how fast you go. Well you can be the fastest, but if you're technique and other things weren't right, then you're not going to win," said Eads.

Lexi Lewis was the winner, and will be heading to Las Vegas next month.
