NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Renovations are under way at the Nashville Rescue Mission.
The beautification project focuses on the main entrance and parking lot of the homeless shelter on Lafayette Street.
The Rescue Mission will soon house a rain garden, planters, and more than 50 new trees.
There will also be an new outdoor recreational space, and additional parking.
Construction is expected to be complete in about six weeks. The Rescue Mission plans to host an open house once it's all done.
