NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Adjustments have been made to Belmont University's academic calendar. Due to COVID-19 concerns, the university's fall semester will begin with all-online, fully virtual classes.

The announcement was made on Belmont's website. The fall semester is scheduled to begin August 19 as planned. They will be conducted fully online until at least September 4.

On-campus classes are currently scheduled to resume September 7 in what Belmont calls its "HyFlex" model - a hybrid of in-class and online student participation.

For graduate or doctoral students, some programs will begin the semester virtually through September 4, but others will begin on campus in the "HyFlex" model when the semester starts August 19.
